Silicon Valley Hearing in Los Gatos is pleased to offer Phonak EON, the third generation of Phonak's Audéo Sphere technology. EON carries forward the speech-in-noise performance that made the Sphere platform stand out, then delivers it in a noticeably smaller and lighter body with upgraded automatic processing, stronger wind-noise management, and native Auracast support. The platform is built around three ideas: adaptive clarity, broad connectivity, and intuitive design, and it fits hearing losses ranging from mild through profound.

Better Speech Understanding in Noise

At the heart of EON is Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, which uses dedicated AI processing to separate speech from background noise, enhance the speech signal, and reintegrate it for clearer listening in difficult places like restaurants and gatherings. Phonak reports up to 50% better speech understanding compared with advanced directional microphone technology, up to 37% less listening effort, and that users are up to two times more likely to understand speech coming from any direction.

Importantly, this speech-in-noise technology is now available across three performance levels rather than being limited to the top two, which puts it within reach of more budgets.

Smarter Automatic Processing

EON runs on the new Hypersonic chip, paired with AutoSense OS AI 8.0 and APD 4.0. Together these are designed to react more quickly and intelligently as your listening environment changes, moving between quiet and noisy settings without asking you to manually switch programs. The system also keeps Spheric Speech Clarity active in more situations than before, so the clarity benefit stays with you as you move through your day.

WindBlock 2.0

For anyone who spends time outdoors, wind hitting the microphones can be a real problem. WindBlock 2.0 reduces that microphone turbulence while preserving access to speech and environmental sound, offering up to 50 dB of wind-noise reduction while retaining up to 30 dB of signal-to-noise ratio benefit. In Phonak testing, more than 90% of participants preferred WindBlock 2.0 for naturalness, and the feature is available across all performance levels.

Connectivity, Roger, and Auracast

EON uses the Era connectivity chip, which supports broad Bluetooth compatibility and lets the hearing aids work as a hands-free headset for calls and video conferencing. It connects with a wide range of phones, computers, tablets, and televisions, supports RogerDirect for compatible Phonak remote microphones, and includes native Auracast support. That means you can receive public audio broadcasts in places like airports, theaters, houses of worship, and conference centers directly through your hearing aids. EON works with the myPhonak and myPhonak Junior apps for on-the-go adjustments.

Design, Battery, and Charging

EON is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere generation, in a standard rechargeable receiver-in-canal form factor with eight color options. Battery performance runs more than all day, up to approximately 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and time in noisy environments. A full charge takes roughly 2.5 hours, and an optional portable charging case with its own built-in battery keeps you powered when away from home. For patients with hearing in only one ear, the Audéo R EON pairs with the CROS R EON companion transmitter.
